Post 6 Noah and the Flood- Jasa Harris

Noah and the Flood
The world was full of violence so God was going to put an end to everybody and destroy the Earth. But he was going to spare Noah because he was a righteous man. God instructed Noah to build an Ark that was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high to house Noah and his family, two of every kind of living creature and every kind of food as a source of nourishment for them. Noah did just that. Noah went into the Ark and it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. The waters raised the Ark high above the Earth, covered the mountains and wiped out every living thing. The waters flooded for 150 days. God eventually let Noah out and told him and his sons and their wives to multiply and restore the Earth. Noah then built an altar and gave an offering to the Lord who declared never to destroy all living creatures again.

Since I was young, elephants have been fascinating to me. My grandmother collects elephant statues from all over and decorates her entire house with them. Each of the elephants is uniquely beautiful. Also, elephants just seem to be peaceful and almost humanlike as they have great memories and can cry, which I have always found interesting. They seem wise to me too as they are often portrayed as so in movies. My grandmother loves them so much because she says they are symbols of family and the strength of women. The fact that elephants can symbolize many different things makes them intriguing.
