Karl Werner Post 6 Pygmalion and Galatea

Pygmalion was an ancient Greek sculptor, residing on the island of Cyprus. There, Aphrodite had cursed all the womenfolk. Swearing them off, Pygmalion instead sculpted a gorgeous ivory statue of a woman. Named Galatea, her beautiful crafting gave her an almost-life like quality, and Pygmalion fell in love. He peppered her with the gifts of young love, including shells and flowers. Deeply and madly in love, he prayed to the goddess Aphrodite fervently. Aphrodite heard his prayers and turned Galatea into a real woman. Pygmalion and Galatea married soon after.

If I could bring one character to life, it would be Tyrion from the Game of Thrones series. Though he would probably end up screwing me over, he is a clever and quick-witted man whose company I believe I would enjoy. He harbors inner soft spots surrounded by a calculated and sharp exterior. Tyrion does not let his dwarfism or the mockery of others bring him down. He is a seeker of true justice no matter the cost. The Lannister Imp enjoys the finer things in life, has unlimited gold, has unparalled humor, and makes everyone feel as tall as Yao Ming. Why wouldn't you want  him to be a real person? Well, other than the fact he'd use his wit to manipulate and deceive you 24/7. Hey, every friendship has its cost.
