Pandora's Box: Lucy Wan

From the earth, Prometheus created Man. Man, the noblest of all creatures, was provided for by Prometheus and his brother Epimetheus. But, when it came time to bestow upon Man a gift, Epimetheus, having given away all of his resources to the other animals, had nothing left to give them. Prometheus decided to give the gift of fire to Man, and lighted his torch at the chariot of the sun. Zeus was furious at the brothers for stealing fire from heaven, and at Man for accepting the gift. Thus, he created Pandora and called upon all the gods to contribute to her perfection. Pandora was presented to Epimetheus as a wife, who despite Prometheus' warnings of Zeus, accepted her. In Epimetheus' house, there was a jar that held all the evil in the world. Pandora, in her curiosity, decided to open it, and upon doing so, released all things evil to plague the earth. Though she tried to close the jar quickly, all the spirits had escaped except for Hope. So today, no matter how many evils exist, we know we will always have hope.

Evils I would like to squelch:
wobbly chairs
rudeness
my hair in all its glory
humidity
awkward silences
low metabolism
my brother's attitude
ignorance
