Origins (Genesis 1-3)
So basically, in the span of 6 days, God created everything there is in the natural world. He started with light and dark, and then moved on to the sky. Next came the creation of land and sea, then vegetation, then followed by the sun and the moon. Lastly came the living things such as: animals and mankind. Because he was so spent after all his efforts he took the seventh day just rested. The one problem he had was that his man, Adam, had no companion. So what was God’s solution? Taking a rib from Adam and turning it into a woman, Eve. God then decided to make this beautiful garden for Adam and Eve to live in and take care of, which they did without hesitation. However, their one stipulation was that they couldn’t touch or eat the fruit from the tree in the middle or they would die. However one day Eve had an off day, and was convinced by a snake to eat some of the fruit from the tree. She gave some of the fruit to Adam to eat also. When God heard about this he was furious and kicked them both out of the garden and decided to bestow harsh punishments on them for eternity (Like painful childbirth....thanks for that God). And so concludes Genesis chapters 1-3.
Now for my personal origins. I come from Julie and Patrick Cashman, who come from Steve and Paula and Gerry and Cobie respectively. Before that though, I don’t really know the specifics. I do know however, that my mom’s side of the family immigrated from Switzerland (their last name is Sigg), while my dad’s side of the family immigrated from Ireland (with the truly superb last name of Cashman). I guess you could say my origin is also Lexington, KY seeing as that is where I was born. This about sums up the origins of Margaret Cashman.
