Daphne and the Laurel Wreath

So Apollo was making fun of cupid and cupid shot him up with an arrow of gold. Cupid or Eros then shot some chick named Daphne with an arrow of lead. Apollo was smitten with Daphne but she didn’t like him so she ran away. Since her dad was a river god he turned her into a plant and Apollo wore her leaves on his head for all eternity.

 I personally am indifferent to the subject of eternal youth. While it would be fun to live forever it would also be really boring. I do enjoy the story of life, the happenings and such, but the passing of time is what makes events special. If you lived forever nothing would be novel and eventually you would end up bored.
